The Crushpad-Bordeaux Director, our new friend in Bordeaux, Steven Bolger has done a great job not only at choosing the best vineyards from which we buy our grapes, but also at selecting the best place to manage our wine production. We were really impressed by the facilities offered by Chateau Teyssier, a Saint Emilion Grand Cru situat in the heart of the Saint Emilion Appellation. Jonathan and Lyn Maltus joined the Estate in 1994. The vineyard now extends over 50 Hectares under vine, a large part of which is situated amongst Cru Classe terroir in the cotes hugging the village of Saint Emilion.

One of the most pleasurable experiences of our visit to Bordeaux was getting to know the famous area of Paulliac, and one of the wine leaders of this Appelation: Jean Charles owner of the Chateau Lynch-Bages and its high reputation wines.  These wines are really complex with a lot of structure. Jean Charles was a great host and he shared his best wines with us.
